Combustions engines also need coolant, (water) and even so can explode very easily. But, decent power sometimes isn't enough, and won't run your quarrys super quick.Ĭombustion engines make a lot of power, but they need oil/fuel to run, which is, of course finite, and is hard to find once you use up local oil geysers. Steam engines and coal are the best basic way to power them make decent power, cheap, and require little maintenance.
There's many ways to power quarrys: one, steam engines with coal, and combustion engines. I might go mess around with that idea later, I'll get back to you =) However, this makes it dependent on what it digs if it runs out of coal, it's gonna stop until you refuel it. Haven't hear the idea powering the quarry with the coal it digs before in theory, sounds good.
